Apple – 1976
Apple’s first computer designed in Steve Jobs’ garage by Steve Wozniak. This is the machine that started the Apple computer company. The museum built a working replica with all original date-specific chips included.
Commodore PET 2001 series
Commodore – 1977
Many consider the PET 2001 to be the first all-in-one home computer and the first commercially successful personal computer ever.
IBM – 1986
The first laptop computer released by IBM, as well as the first IBM computer to use the 3½-inch floppy disk format.
Digital Equipment Corp. – 1986
The third generation of the PDP-11 series of 16-bit minicomputers produced by Digital Equipment Corporation to use LSI processors.
Next – 1988
A high-end workstation computer developed, manufactured, and sold by NeXT from 1990 until 1993.
